Collaboration & Portfolio Development

Students work in teams to develop layered projects that reflect real-world workflows. Emphasis is placed on collaboration, creative problem-solving, and building a professional portfolio that showcases both technical and artistic growth.

Tools & Certification

Students gain hands-on experience with the Adobe Creative Suite and will complete certification exams to validate their skills and readiness for the field.

Program Course Sequence

Principles of Art, Media, and Communication
Junior Year – First Semester
This foundational course introduces students to the dynamic world of Arts, Media, and Communication. Through exploration of key industry sectors—including Communication & Broadcast Technologies, Multimedia Production, Graphic Design, and Print Communication—students gain insight into career pathways.

Interactive Media & Design Level I
Junior Year – Second Semester
Building on foundational knowledge, this course deepens students’ skills in media design and production. Emphasis is placed on project planning, creative development, and hands-on application using a variety of tools and platforms. Students will produce original content while mastering the technical and conceptual aspects of interactive media.

Interactive Media & Design Level II
Senior Year – Full Year
This advanced course challenges students to expand their expertise in interactive media through immersive projects in animation, video production, 3D modeling and simulation, and game design. Students will design and develop sophisticated digital media products, demonstrating proficiency in both creative execution and technical innovation.

Honors Interactive Media Portfolio Capstone
Senior Year – Full Year
As the culminating experience of the interactive media pathway, this capstone offers students the flexibility to pursue either a large-scale, independent honors-weighted project or a series of smaller, standard-weighted portfolio-building assignments. Students may integrate any combination of media disciplines explored throughout the program, showcasing their creative vision, technical mastery, and readiness for postsecondary or professional pursuits.
