One of Cecil County Public Schools “Flagship” programs is the House Building Program at the School of Technology in North East, Maryland.  Over the course of a school year a new house is built from the foundation up.  The House Building Program was founded back in 1994 by Barry Montgomery and other businessmen who believe that the construction trades at CCST are the stepping stones to Cecil County’s future builders. 

Students from the Carpentry ~ Electrical ~ Plumbing ~ Heating & Air Conditioning programs work through the entire construction process to complete a single family home prior to trade certification in January.  All materials necessary to build the house are paid for through an outside organization, not the school budget. 

Stop by and visit the construction site and see the build in progress.  You will be impressed with the student’s skills and abilities!
