Program Description

This instructional program is a structured cluster experience provided through technology/ industrial education. This construction trades cluster is a structured two semester program that will allow for a minimum of four specific construction trades program experiences, which will meet for a minimum of 1 hour and 45 minutes per day.
The purpose of this Exploratory Trade Skills Experience program is to provide the opportunity for students to experience, in a controlled environment, the job skills, work requirements, and related work behaviors needed for employment in a broad range of construction trade occupations.

Course Instructors
Mr.Marra and Mr.Berry

The instructor will have a Trade and Industry Certification and meet all the requirements set forth by the Maryland State Department of Education.

 

In addition, the teacher will need to be Craft Instuctor certified through the Nation Center for Construction and Research. This instructor shall meet the following criteria:

 

• Skilled in his or her specialty
• Demonstrates leadership ability
• Models qualities of a good instructor, including ethics and stewardship on the job.
• Desire to share knowledge
• Minimum three years trade experience
