October 2008

Twenty-four School of Technology students were named “Trade Stars” for the third marking period.  Students are selected by their instructor based upon performance and effort.  The students and the program they represent are: Allied Health—Samantha Russell (EHS), Michelle Jones (PHS), Vickie Lee Falcon (EHS) and Meagan Gregson (NEHS); Automotive Technology—Ashley Yates (RSHS) and Evan Bowlsbey (EHS); Carpentry—Nick Holmes (NEHS); Computer Electronics—Zach Garrant (RSHS); Cosmetology—Lisa Adkins (NEHS) and Brittany Ey (RSHS); Culinary Arts—Nick Carter (NEHS); Electrical Trades—Christian Lappe (NEHS) and Christian James (RSHS); Exploratory Trades—Brandon Buchanan (NEHS) and Jacob Sheets (RSHS); Fire Science/EMS—Vince Lammey (RSHS); Plumbing/HVAC—Brian Logue (PHS), Jesse Wegman (BMHS) and Patrick Wooten (RSHS); Industrial Maintenance—Kenny Comer -

Comer (EHS); Natural Resources—Josiah Schmidt (PHS); Webmaster Technology—Lyneshia Christy (EHS) and Morgan Smith (NEHS); Welding and Metals Technology—Vince McMahon (RSHS).  Each student will have his/her picture displayed in the cafeteria and each student will be invited to attend a reception in the cafeteria with a guest speaker later in the school year.  Congratulations to each of the students on their achievement. 

CCST Holds “Spirit Week”

During the week of September 22—26 the students at the School of Technology held a “Spirit Week”.  The activity was organized by the Student Council.  Students planned various activities for each day of the week: Monday—Home School Colors Day (students wore the school colors of their home school); Tuesday—Favorite Jersey Day (students wore a jersey/T-shirt of their favorite college or professional team); Wednesday—Hat Day; Thursday—Mix-Match Day—stripes, plaids, checks, solids all mixed up); and Friday—CCST School Color Day—(green and gold).
